Established in 2007, ShadeArt  proudly design and manufactures its own range of UK designed commercial and residential umbrellas and parasols in its purpose built factory in rural Hertfordshire UK. 

ShadeArt was set up by Mike Kirkby-Jones who has been working with parasols and umbrellas since moving to the UK from Australia in 2004. Through SHADEmakers UK, and their selected loyal resellers, Mike has been supplying high quality commercial parasols, including custom solutions, to a wide range of clients in the UK, Europe and further abroad for 19 years. Mike has an extensive knowledge of all aspects of design, manufacture, supply and installation of parasols and umbrellas. Mike and his manufacturing team chose to partner with experienced British Engineers to design and develop the ShadeArt range of commercial umbrellas and to ensure that this range is manufactured in the UK. 

ShadeArt work closely with our UK suppliers and manufacturers including extrusion specialists, injection moulders, anodisers, laser cutters, welders, fabricators, timber yards and canopy sewers all of whom are within easy reach of the factory in Welwyn Garden City. 

In addition to traditional centre post parasols, ShadeArt are specialists in the design and manufacture of side post parasols. Some of these are designed for wind speeds up to 70mph/112kph and all can be equipped with heating and lighting.
